What is it?

While somewhat self explanatory, let us elaborate on our philosophy- A great number of folks (we know, we’ve met them) are just not comfortable cooking in an adaptive and practical way. It is natural, with so much content to digest and so many physical options available, to become overwhelmed by choice, confused by complexity or daunted by mistakes.
Enter simplicity. With firm intention and a love of food we believe that anybody can develop the ability to plan ahead, prepare, season, cook, correct mishaps and all the rest of it WITHOUT CONSULTING ANYTHING. More importantly, if you’ll believe it, it can all be done at reduced expense and without using every dish and tool you own.
Our own passion for food revolves around this simple precept and we hope to convey, through targeted discussion on this blog, how this freeing feeling of poise can be possessed and honed by you with a little time and a little heart.
Our goal is to instruct and inspire people to cook (and grow!) high quality, healthful and delicious meals for themselves and their families!
We’ll do this together by:
*Making the kitchen a place you WANT to be!
*Helping you gain comfort and mastery of fundamental skills and kitchen processes.
*Developing a small rotation of basic dishes that are:
- simple to prepare
- enjoyed by everyone in your home
- easy to customize or zhuzh (synonyms: spiff, zazz, dazzle) up when you feel like it
*Embracing stewardship of a tight and well inventoried pantry and freezer.
*Starting small! One skill, one meal, one goal.
